Rural Gas Utility Service Person

Sunshine Gas Co-op Ltd. is currently offering full time employment to an enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic and reliable individual with good communication skills to join our field team. 

Sunshine Gas Co-op distributes and maintains its pipeline infrastructure for natural gas delivery and offers secondary gas services to over 1875 rural customer members.

Our office is located in Blackie approximately 40 minutes south of Calgary.

Duties include all aspects of natural gas distribution, system operation & maintenance, underground gas line installations & repairs and piping and venting to customer installed appliances.  A scheduled rotating 7 day, 24 hour on-call shift is mandatory.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract.  Safety Certificates and backhoe operating experience are beneficial although not required.  Training is provided for the successful applicant. 

Applicants holding tickets for Gasfitter, Utility &/or RMO Operator, or experience in natural gas distribution will be given preference.
