Gas Rates:
Sunshine, along with the other Co-ops in the Federation of Alberta
Gas Co-ops, are shareholders in Gas Alberta Inc. and we purchase our
gas volumes exclusively from the corporation. The Gas Alberta Inc.
portfolio includes hedged, storage, long & short term and daily spot
purchases. Sunshine applies a $1.00 GJ variable rate to the "Cost of Gas "
and a $20 monthly fixed charge to cover the cost of delivery to
the customer and to provide services such as line locates, trouble
calls, emergency response and maintenance to our pipeline system.

Gas Billing:
Our monthly gas
bills are sent out around the 10th of each month with the due date the 5th of the following month.
When you receive
a bill it will be for the previous months consumption. The bill
clearly shows the gas volumes and the associated charges for delivery
and service. If you have a concern about your account, please contact
the office for clarification. DO NOT ALTER THE AMOUNTS ON THE BILL.

Due Date:
Amounts owing must be paid in full by the Due Date each month. There
are many options for bill payment including mail, bank, telephone
banking and internet. We also have a mail drop-off at the office
and we are able to accept Visa, MasterCard and Interac payments.
Sunshine does not consent to any late payment and does not extend
credit. Sunshine must pay for the gas you consume before you are
billed for it and the co-op is not in a financial position to extend
credit. Any accounts in arrears will be issued a cut-off notice
and the service will be disconnected if not paid.

Pre-Authorized Credit Card Payments:
If you would like us to debit your Visa or MasterCard for monthly
gas purchases, services provided or material purchases, please print
the pre-authorization form. Please read the
Terms & Conditions carefully before
completing. Mail or fax the completed form to us. If you have any
questions please call the office.

Gas Meters:
All gas meters are inspected and sealed by Measurement Canada. Every
seven years the meter is removed and sent in for verification and
re-sealing to verify accuracy. It is extremely rare for a meter
to be out of calibration.
Safety: the main gas shut off valve is located on the riser just
below the meter. It is important that this valve is accessible in
case of emergency. Also please do not use the meter set to hang
garden hoses or to leash pets to.
